New school buildingThe current schooling facilities have been donated by various community members and are usually rooms, courtyards and patios in front of their own homes. In addition to being disruptive, these facilities are open to the elements and children often miss out on classes in adverse weather. One Child has recently funded the purchase of a plot of land to house a new school building for the CECs. In addition to providing a more permanent facility for the CECs, the facilities will be made available for youth development and vocational training programmes for older children, and training for mothers.
